2743.54 Appointment and compensation of commissioners

(A) The supreme court shall appoint at least three court of claims commissioners to hear and determine all matters relating to appeals from decisions of the attorney general pursuant to sections 2743.51 to 2743.72 of the Revised Code. Each commissioner shall be an attorney who has been licensed to practice law in this state for at least three years prior to appointment and shall serve at the pleasure of the supreme court and under the administrative supervision of the clerk of the court of claims.

(B) The supreme court shall fix the compensation of the court of claims commissioners, and the compensation shall be paid out of the court of claims victims of crime fund.
